It’s 2020 so you’ve obviously heard of crystals by now. But I’m sure like most people you’re overwhelmed by the different options and energies that each posses. Believe me, I was there too once and still find myself googling stones from time to time.
To keep things simple though, I thought I would share what I consider the 5 essential crystals that everyone should have. I feel that the energies that these stones hold are universal and helpful to everyone. Keeping them around you, either in your home or on your body will allow you to tap into the power that these stones carry. Ready to jump in?
Essential Crystal # 1: Quartz
If you were to only get one crystal in life, quartz should be your go-to. Remember that thing from science class about the mitochondria being the “powerhouse of the cell”? Well Quartz is the powerhouse of the crystal world. Quartz raises your vibration to it’s highest setting and attunes itself to your specific needs. Want to tap into your psychic abilities? Done. Want to receive more spiritual downloads? You got it. Quartz has GOT YOU.
My favorite part about Quartz is that it amplifies the vibrational energy of other crystals - it’s like when Emeril would add a little spice - BAM take those crystals to the next level. Everyone should have a Quartz in their pocket.
Essential Crystal #2: Rose Quartz
Ok, might seem like a cop-out since Rose Quartz (or RQ as I affectionately call her) is technically a quartz but listen guys. RQ is the love doctor. She’s up in your business asking you to go deeper on your blocks that keep you from accepting love. She’s vibrating out to the universe calling in the love that you need and deserve. And she’s not just for asking the universe for a romantic partner - oh noooo friends. She is looking to bring you the universal type of love - from family, from friends and yes obv from a romantic partner too. Most of all RQ is working to show you that you are love at the core of your being. If you have a blockage in your heart chakra - Rose Quartz is your gal.
Essential Crystal #3: Selenite
I promised that this one would be your new obsession and I’m going to deliver. Selenite is that silvery-white, slightly opaque but also kind of translucent stone that you dream about at night. Like, Selenite is just pretty to look at guys but let me tell you what it will do for you. If you are into smoke cleansing or feel like you have stuck energy anywhere, Selenite has got your back. Selenite is THE ULTIMATE when it comes to cleansing and clearing. Looking to tap into the divine? Let Selenite clear the way in your mind. And let me tell you - she’s like the CBD of the crystal world, just here to relax you baby. Hold an Amethyst when you’re meditating and watch yourself just release allll the tension and sink deeper. Stick an Amethyst under your pillow before bed and get ready to DREAM. If Rose Quartz calls in the love of the universe, Amethyst calls in the divine and opens up your third eye (Amethyst is purple, the third eye and crown chakra are shades of purple...coincidence? I think not).
Amethyst is also great for repelling negative energy. It’s like setting up a forcefield and bouncing that negative shit back out the door. Ever wonder why yoga studios or metaphysical shops have those GIANT raw Amethyst stones, usually right be the door? They are not looking to invite bad vibes! Stick Amethyst near windows and doors to keep out any unwanted energy.
Essential Crystal #5: Citrine
Do you want to attract abundance into your life? Duh who doesn’t! You need a Citrine ASAP then. Glowing yellow like a ray of sunshine, citrine is your connection to our brightest star. It stimulates your creativity so it is great for when you are feeling a bit stuck artistically and need a lil push. It is also a wealth and abundance attractor. Like a lightening rod, wearing Citrine brings it alllll to you. Known as a “happy, generous stone”, Citrine asks you share the wealth because whatever you give comes back threefold. Want a sunshine-y attitude? Wear a Citrine!
In your home, place a Citrine in the far left corner of the house (or apartment, etc) and watch it amplify your wealth. Citrine is like your best friend that whispers in your ear, “abundance is always flowing to you”.
